Pear-iyaki Salmon
Pear-iyaki Salmon is adapted from this Firecracker Salmon recipe to substitute the added brown sugar for a more nutritious whole foods sweetener; you guessed it – a pear! Check out JoCooks recipe below (pictured) for her sparky version, too!
What you need:
1-2# salmon, preferably wild caught
3 cloves garilc
1″ piece fresh ginger, peeled
2 tbsp olive oil (toasted sesame oil would be so yummy here, too)
¼ c tamari
½ pear, any variety
1 tbsp Sriracha
pinch black pepper
What to do:
Toss all ingredients (except salmon!) into food processor and buzz up until well pureed. Pour over salmon to marinate anywhere from a few hrs to a day.
Preheat oven to 400. Bake approximately 10 min for every inch of thickness of the salmon. There’s a good chance that 10 minutes will be plenty!
Got some extra marinade? Don’t toss it! Pour into your stir friend veggies or slather over some baked squash!
