Maple Mustard Dressing

I can’t think of a single reason NOT to make your own salad dressing. Convenience isn’t even a good one because you can make a jar that will last for weeks in the fridge. The most important benefit from a nutrition standpoint is that you get to control the ingredients. As you can see both from this recipe and the infographic below, you can do that with a handful of pantry ingredients! Plus it tastes way better!

What you need:​

  • 1 garlic clove

  • ½ c evoo

  • ½ c apple cider vinegar

  • 2 tbsp dijon mustard

  • 1-2 tbsp maple syrup

  • ¼ tsp dried dill

  • ¼-½ tsp kosher salt

  • ¼ pepper

What to do:

  1. Mince garlic clove and place in mason jar.

  2. Add all other ingredient and shake, shake, shake!

  3. At this point the mustard should help the dressing to emulsify. If that’s not happening quite yet, you may want to add a smidge more. Adjust seasoning as necessary.

  4. Dressing will store in fridge for a few weeks.
