Ginger Lime Broccoli

Steaming veggies, like broccoli, is a super quick way to decrease bitterness and enhance digestibility and nutrition! A tangy, savory dressing makes this easy side a crowd pleaser, and it’s great as a cold salad, too.

What you need:

  • 3-4 crowns broccoli

  • 1 tbsp coconut oil, melted

  • 2″ chunk fresh ginger, minced or grated

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced or grated

  • 1 jalapeño, minced

  • 2 tsp tamari

  • zest and juice of 1/2 orange

  • zest and juice of 2 limes

  • ½ c cilantro, minced

  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

What to do:

  1. Steam broccoli until brilliantly green in color. This should only take 3-5 minutes, so don’t go mowing the lawn or anything. The broccoli should be tender yet crunchy. Drain remaining water from broccoli.

  2. Place remaining ingredients, except sesame seeds, into mason jar with lid and shake, shake, shake!

  3. Pour dressing over broccoli and toss to coat. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and enjoy!
